Governor Training

PaJeS runs termly governor workshops where governors have a chance to network with those from different schools over supper, receive a briefing on a topical issue and then attend one of three workshops on offer. We also run induction training for new governors in both state schools and independent schools. These evenings not only benefit new governors but also serve as valuable refresher sessions for more longstanding governors.

Induction Training for new Governors: 7 February 2018

Richard Gold, a consultant to Stone King lawyers and an expert in education law, will be running induction training for governors of state schools on Wednesday 7 February 2018. This is also a good refresher course if you have been a governor for a while but have not had any induction training.

The session will include the core functions of a governor, governance v management, accountability and the questions to ask, delegation, confidentiality and issues around the conduct of meetings.

The training will take place at Bet Meir in Hendon at 7.15pm and there will be no charge. Please note that supper will not be provided beforehand.
