We are looking for passionate and committed people to join us in producing world class assessment materials for our new GCSE Modern Hebrew specification (8678)
We are recruiting for a range of roles, including:
Chair of Examiners – responsible for contributing to the development of a subject strategy and ensuring that all specifications meet this strategy, as well as the needs of students, teachers and other stakeholders.
Chief Examiner – responsible for implementing the subject strategy at specification level.
Lead Assessment Writers – responsible for producing high quality assessment materials at individual component level.
Reviser – responsible for checking assessment materials to ensure they are error free, fit for purpose and in line with the subject strategy.
All roles can be undertaken alongside full time teaching commitments although you will be expected to be able to attend a limited number of meetings in Guildford, London and/or Manchester.
What we are looking for
We are looking for candidates with a high level of expertise in their chosen language. Your subject knowledge should be thorough and up-to-date, and you should have some familiarity with our new specifications (details of which can be found on our website).
The appointed Chair of Examiners will be required to present as part of their role, so candidates must be able to demonstrate strong presentation skills. Some experience of question setting would be advantageous in candidates applying for the Chief Examiner or Lead Assessment Writer roles. Strong proof reading skills would be beneficial in candidates applying for the role of Reviser.
These roles will all involve the use of new technologies and systems so the ability and willingness to use technology is essential. The ideal candidate will also have some experience of examining.
