is very committed to supporting the professional leadership of our schools.
In November 2015 we ran
a residential seminar
, sponsored by UJIA Ashdown. The purpose of the seminar was to give Heads time
away from the many urgent issues on their desks to reflect on the important
challenges facing schools in the future and how we might address these through
collaboration and partnerships. It is also intended as an opportunity for Heads to network with their colleagues in a
28 Heads attended and
discussed strategic priorities for the school community. They looked at the challenges ahead facing
all of them, and how these might be addressed by working together and in
partnership with a central organisation.
This is an annual event; the 2016 residential seminar, entitled Leading a Jewish School, took place on 28 and 29 November.
The programme included practical and interactive
sessions on Jewish vision, leadership and management, and building a team.
There was also an opportunity for the working parties set up
following last year's seminar, to report back to Heads and to get input from
the wider group.
