Teachers in Jewish schools come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Most pupils are Jewish but there are now some primary and secondary schools with pupils also from a wide variety of religious backgrounds. Most Jewish schools are part of the state system and they include a growing number of free schools and Academies.  In Orthodox schools, Jewish Studies (RE) will be taught by specialist staff but most pluralist schools will offer a more integrated approach, certainly at primary level. Jewish schools are also mostly high achieving with either outstanding or good Ofsted reports and this reflects their high levels of professionalism and commitment. A full list of Jewish schools can be found on our Find a Jewish School website.
