Understanding your school’s budget
Michael Glass

As money becomes ever more tight and the Government defines one of the three essentials of effective governance as “overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent” it is essential that governors understand budgets, the budgeting process, how to benchmark their school and access value. This session will investigate the key issues for governors where to find comparative benchmarking data and the pitfalls to avoid.
