As well as the Heads Residential we also hold a day seminar in March each year.
This year Helena Sharpstone, a learning and development specialist who co-runs the leadership and team development consultancy, Sharpstone Skinner, gave a session on Resilience for you and the team. This included key factors that create a resilient environment, creating a high performance environment and managing relationships and conflict.
After lunch Dr Helena Miller and Rabbi David Meyer gave a presentation on lessons that we can learn from the Jewish Lives longitudinal study. This is a project that began in 2011 where children who started at one of seven mainstream Jewish secondary schools that year have been surveyed and interviewed every two years to see how Jewish Lives change over time. Dr Miller reported on the findings, relevant to both primary and secondary school Heads, and there followed a discussion on the implications of the research for our schools.
