For Headteachers
We are pleased to invite you to a launch event for the Pan London Child Exploitation Protocol on the 7th of December from 9-11am.
PaJeS has partnered with the Metropolitan Police to produce a tailored version of their protocol to include more relevant information for schools and specifically tailored to the Jewish community. Whilst the protocol is focused on London, we are inviting all Jewish schools to attend and share best practices across the community.
We will be joined by speakers from the Metropolitan Police who will discuss the content of the protocol and how best to use it, as well as a representative from the Department for Education who will present on schools safeguarding responsibilities.
Tackling child exploitation is a complex task that requires a proactive, multi-agency approach. The protocol complements existing child protection regulations and statutory guidance. The session will help you get to know our partners, who we are proud to work with, and will show how you can take greater responsibility for safeguarding.
This is an exceptionally important area for schools and in addition to the Headteacher we would encourage attendance from a relevant staff member, such as your DSL, Pastoral Leader or CPO, you may also wish for a governor with safeguarding responsibilities to join.
Please register by clicking here, you will then be provided with the Zoom link.
