Wake up to Wellbeing

The Community Wellbeing Project team have developed weekly wellbeing sessions for delivery during the current crisis.

Routine and daily rituals have changed dramatically for our children and it can be useful to address some of these issues using appropriate emotional language.

Sessions cover topics from personal hygiene to routine and gratitude and can be done in any order. Each session has points for discussion and a weekly challenge based on learning that week. Some weeks have further challenges for older children.

All the sessions have been developed to be appropriate for all ages but may need some small changes depending on the particular age group. The sessions should last between 20-30 minutes but can be made longer or shorter.

They have been arranged as adult led weekly sessions, however, they can be done in a number of ways:

  1. As a weekly Zoom wellbeing session
  2. During online assembly
  3. They can be uploaded onto online classrooms for the children to go through themselves with voice note guidance from the class teacher or pastoral lead.
  4. They can be sent to parents to work on with their children
